Lopsided' Cong panels bring bickering to fore
His words acquired the weight of truth when the array of investigating teams found nothing substantial to discuss, leave alone take any suitable action. Many a time, committees' findings led to the formation of another committee, resulting in a 'theatre of the absurd'.
One of the to all appearances purposeless committees on the list is the one formed to investigate alleged mishandling by Daltonganj MLA KN Tripathi of the Sacred Heart school administration in his home town. A team headed by former legislator Radha Krishna Kishore probed the matter and reported against him.
"How can a junior leader who is not holding any significant party position investigate a matter related to an incumbent legislator?" said Tripathi, questioning the legitimacy and as well the intention behind forming the panel by PCC chief Pradeep Balmuchu.
Similar case outcome
In a similar case outcome, Chandrashekhar Dubey came out in the open and oozed venom against the top brass of his own party alleging exchange of money for voting in favour of Ajay Maru, a Rajya Sabha member. "To tell the truth Dubey is an AICC member and we here cannot investigate into his affairs. We had forwarded our opinion to the party high command nevertheless no action has been taken on this issue in this way far," said a senior leader.
